Hi Again,
             I've had a look at my problem with the image counters not increasing and I think I have narrowed down the problem down after reading this http://llamacouncil.org/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,58/topic,78.0 as i think the end part of the url is where the problem is, ie...... /PageNo,1/key,0/hit,1/

Here's an examp[le of the problem, in this gallery I the first image has had 29 hits http://www.scott-land.net/photo-gallery/Around-Edinburgh/McEwans-Fountainbridge-Brewery/

These two urls link to that image, the first doesn't increase the hitcounter but the second one does.

Just had a look at the Llama Council Gallery and the hit counter doesn't seem to be working there. Maby I didnt make my first post clear. What I was trying to say was the actual hit counters are being displayed but their not incrementing as they should when you look at photos. This also seems to be the situation with the gallery on this site.

     I've done what you said and......

Disable OpenSEF the hit counter works
Exclude Photo Gallery in Components hit counter works
Exclude Photo Gallery and use alias hit counter doesn't work !

Any ideas what it might be the problem ? I 've included my .htaccess file below also.

Hi there, First this is a great extension and is the reason that I installed OpenSEF. But there is a problem with it. The hit counter for any of the pictures doesn't work when the extension is enabled. Not a big problem but it is nice to know of people are looking at you photos.

I see this isn't just a problem on my site www.scott-land.net as the hit counters on this sites zoom gallery aren't incrementing either.

I was wondering if this might just be a configuration problem in OpenSEF and not in the actual extension but I am no SEF expert.

Anyway fingers crossed someone can fix this.
