Hi, I was reading through the forums about this openSEF extension and what I understand it turns

something like /component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,31/  to example I found off the forum
/gallerie/view/bass_wars_-_kriminal_tuning_club_-_ascoli_piceno/ktc-ascoli-piceno002.jpg

Wow that is great, I will try it soon but I was wondering is it only limited to pictures ? or can I have it on video files since I have a lot of media as video files, particular .flv, .mpg , .avi

Thanks for your quick reply, In my openSEF configuration, in components for my com_zoom media gallery I enabled the "use alias" name as gallery.
I have also uploaded sef_ext.php to my /components/com_zoom/ folder
Do i have to modify any other zoom component or how do i use this.

i have also turned off the hot link protection, made new gallery with only alpha characters and filename as well with no spaces but the url still isnt friendly
I just found out on my main page when i put my mouse over the link that says Media gallery, it is  http://www.mydomain.com/gallery
when i click on the link it takes me to /component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,41/

then if i go to www.mydomain.com/gallery/test/  the gallery page comes up, but i click the file and its not friendly. And from the main gallery page if i click the gallery name test, the hyperlink is not friendly as well , so basically its only friendly if i type it manually in the address bar.

You have sef_ext.php in yourdomain.com/components/com_zoom right?

I looked at your site.  Can I get a super admin login temporarily?
