Hi Darren, hi all !

The latest sef_ext does run with ZMG 251rc4, does it ?
Over here, it just appears to freeze up Joomla entirely.
(I placed sef_ext in the zoom directory, and set alias in backend, which is all there is, right ?)
Once sef_ext is renamed, things get back to normal.

Best regards

Hi doonee,

That is correct.  I can't test rc4 because it is too large.  My hosting service doesn't allow large transfers and there's no way to change it except to install your own custom version of PHP.  I'm really not keen on doing that just to install zOOm.  Looks like OpenSEF and/or zOOm Gallery are dead projects anyway.

Thanks,
DD

Hi Darren

Would you, or someone else, be able to put up the zoom version that 'fits' your current sef_ext ?
Been looking for it all over the place and couldn't find it.

Also, if you need space to keep up the great work, i could supply that on my server, if youre intereted.
Tried to send you a pm about that earlier, but it wouldn't work.
Maybe i don't have enough posts yet to pm...

About 'dead' in dunno, but indeed waters appear troubled. :)

If you put up a test site and give me admin rights including ftp I will take a look at it.

I am considering making my own gallery for Joomla.  I may start on it when Joomla 1.5 stabilizes.

If you are using SMF then it is possible to integrate Coppermine into Joomla.  The SEF urls aren't as pretty though.  I have done it but Coppermine didn't work well with SEF.  I think Coppermine is way better there just aren't any great bridges for it.

Sure.
I can put up a test site/admin/ftp, even a few, also permanently.
Do you prefer it blank or w/ things installed ?

I started looking into this through a recent request from a client, who wanted a joomla gallery, with captcha and SEF urls.
I implemented a captcha into z00m, but got stuck with the SEF part, as mentioned earlier.
Also tried Pony, which ended up meeting all the requirements (so far.)
But I'd still like to get the z00m to work, now that i started.

I was going to check these out as well, and i would've if Pony hadn't worked.

Sounds nice!

I just tried to pm you back, and once again, no luck.
I press reply and the window refreshes, wo sending the msg or leaving a cc in the outbox.
pm me with your email so i can supply you with details.

251rc4 worked with the extension after messing around with the installation a bit.

What troubles are you having?
